Anne Haugen-Flermoe

Anne Haugen-Flermoe joined Nammo in 2012 in the role as legal advisor for Nammo Raufoss AS. In 2016, she was appointed Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs (now Legal & Regulatory Affairs) for Nammo AS and was also appointed to the Group Management Team. In 2021, she was appointed Chief of Staff.
Haugen-Flermoe has played a vital part in professionalizing and streamlining Nammo in a structured manner by implementing Group wide measures to better assess and mitigate legal, commercial and compliance related risks in all aspects of Nammo’s operations. Her leadership secures that Nammo is growing and developing whilst continuously focusing attention on the expanding geopolitical landscape.
• In 2018, she was instrumental in establishing the first Contracting, Procurement and Compliance Forum in Nammo, which continues to serve as an important learning and development platform across the Nammo Group which currently includes 27 Nammo sites in eleven countries.
• In 2024, she was appointed to the operating model committee for Nammo’s Momentum 2030 project to bolster Nammo’s operating model and enable growth and drive business value.
Haugen-Flermoe lives in Gjøvik, Norway. She holds a master’s in law from the University of Oslo, Faculty of Law with a focus on Corporate Criminal Liability, EPC (I) contracts and insurance law.
She is active in various board positions and enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband and two sons at their mountain cabin.

Arthur Bottles-Browne

Arthur joined BAE Systems Plc in May 2022 as an export control subject matter expert and covers export controls in a number of geographies, including the U.S, the UK and the EU. His remit further covers export controls as they relate to Information Technology, both external-facing in support of greater cloud uptake and internal-facing in support of automation projects to do compliance better. Arthur is also the focal point for strategic relationship management with key government contacts within his team.

He has over a decade of experience in trade controls, having previously been the policy lead for United States Export Controls at the International Relations Group (IRG, now International & Industry Cooperation) within the UK Ministry of Defence’s Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) arm, before going on to work in both corporate and business roles within export control at Rolls-Royce plc. He also served as the regional trade compliance lead for the UK & Europe at Northrop Grumman. He is an active participant on both the United Kingdom ADS Export Group for Aerospace, Defence and Dual-Use (EGADD) Executive Committee, and the EGADD’s U.S. Export Controls Sub-Committee, as well as acting as the lead BAE contributor to the annual ADS US Export Controls Compliance conference.

Arthur holds a Masters in International Security and Global Governance from the University of London.

Ed Peartree

Ed Peartree is Vice President, Head of Airbus Export Control based in Toulouse, France, overseeing trade controls licensing and compliance for Airbus operations worldwide. Previously he served as Group Head of Export Control for BAE Systems plc, based in London, UK and has held positions in government, public policy research, and the defense and aerospace industry for over 25 years. From 2013 to 2017, he served as Director of the Office of Defense Trade Controls Policy at the U.S. Department of State, where he managed the development of regulations and policies governing U.S. arms exports, as well as end-use monitoring. He also led engagement with foreign partners and allies on bilateral and multilateral defense trade matters, including the U.S.-U.K. and U.S.-Australia Defense Trade Cooperation Treaties, and the U.S.-EU COARM dialogue. He began U.S. government service as a Presidential Management Fellow and formerly served as a Research Associate in Political-Military Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C., and as an analyst in the Office of Net Assessment at the U.S. Department of Defense. He is a distinguished graduate of National Defense University and holds an M.A. from George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs and a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.

Hakan Eriksson

Håkan Eriksson has been Head of Section at the department of Military Equipment at the Inspectorate of Strategic Products (ISP) since 2023. The ISP is an independent Swedish Administrative Authority. The task of the ISP amongst others is to control the exports of military equipment and dual-use products, and to be the Swedish screening authority for foreign direct investments. He has previously worked at the Government offices as a Deputy Director at the Ministry of Finance and as Special Advisor at the Ministry of Infrastructure. Prior to that he was an Associate Judge at the Administrative Court of Appeal in Stockholm.

Katie Donaldson

Katie Donaldson is an accomplished Senior Trade Compliance Leader with 15+ years of experience in the public policy, space, and aerospace and defense sectors. Her experience includes developing, implementing, and scaling global trade compliance programs in line with ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations, with a proven track record in building high-performing teams and driving process improvements that ensure regulatory adherence and mitigate risk. agencies and internal stakeholders to support global growth initiatives.

She is currently Senior Director, Strategic Licensing at GE Aerospace, where she is responsible for setting the strategic vision for obtaining export authorizations, including for new product/program campaigns and leading US Government engagement activity. Previously at GE Aerospace, Katie served as the Senior Director for ITC US Operations, where she built a high-performing team of authorization specialists. Prior to GE Aerospace, Katie served as a Senior Manager for Licensing at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, where she managed the Licensing Team and provided support across the GA-ASI business. Prior to her time at GA-ASI, Katie worked at Cobham Advanced Electronic Systems, where she was responsible for the implementation of a trade automation system, built an OFAC compliance program, managed the licensing team, ran the audit and assessment program, and had oversight of the training program for all of Cobham. Katie got her start in international trade compliance while working at ILS International Launch Services on one of the launch teams. Katie ensured compliance for multiple spacecraft-launch vehicle integration programs and participated in five successful launches.

Katie earned a BA from the University of Virginia. She is currently a member of the US State Department’s Defense Trade Advisory Group.
 

Laura Molinari

Laura Molinari

Laura Molinari joined The Boeing Company in March 2021, as the executive director for Licensing, Policy, Sanctions & Compliance for the Global Trade Controls (GTC) organization and is based in the Arlington, VA office. In this role, Molinari is responsible for coordinating trade control policy, licensing, and compliance matters with U.S. Government regulators. Her team also provides international trade control regulatory guidance and obtains local import/export authorizations to support Boeing’s business around the globe. In addition, she is responsible for monitoring and ensuring company compliance with evolving sanctions regulations.
Most recently, Molinari was Assistant General Counsel, Global Trade Services for TE Connectivity where she provided counsel and legal advice on export controls, sanctions, and customs matters. For over a decade, Molinari worked for the General Electric Company (GE) in a variety of International Trade Compliance (ITC) roles, including leading the ITC organization for the GE Aviation business unit and, prior to that, leading the organization executing all of GE’s global export licensing and military exports counseling under its Global Operations unit.
Molinari joined GE from the United States Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). While at BIS, Molinari counseled exporters on variety of questions related to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and supervised the BIS internet seminar program. A native Spanish speaker, Molinari earned her JD and her undergraduate degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Economics from the University of Puerto Rico, a master's in International Finance and Economics from American University and is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and in the District of Columbia.

Lonnie Myklebust is the Director of Regulatory Affairs at Nammo AS, headquartered in Norway. She oversees the company's global compliance with trade controls, ensuring adherence to contractual, certification, and regulatory requirements. Her expertise spans export regulations, sanctions, government acquisitions, third-party due diligence, and intellectual property controls in trade transactions, including cybersecurity measures.

With extensive experience in executive and operational roles across government, NGOs, and industry, Ms. Myklebust is a recognized leader in international trade compliance. A sought-after speaker and trainer, she actively contributes to national, regional, and global forums, serving on multiple trade and export advisory boards, workgroups, and task forces in both Europe and the United States. Her leadership roles include:

Mr. Michael (Mike) Kuenzli is the Deputy in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports and Cooperation. In this role, he leads the U.S. Army’s efforts in security assistance, exports, technology transfer, armaments cooperation, and equipping and training our international partners.

Mr. Kuenzli's previously served as the Project Manager for the Tactical Aviation and Ground Munitions (TAGM) Project Office, Program Executive Office (PEO) Missiles and Space (MS). He successfully led the execution of five ACAT I program including the HELLFIRE and Joint Air to Ground Missiles (JAGM), Hydra 70 Family of Rocket Systems, Tube-launched Optically Tracked Wireless (TOW), Javelin missile systems, as well as numerous Rapid Capability and emerging programs. Critical capabilities for US and Allies forces across air, land, and sea domains.

Mr. Kuenzli retired from the Army in 2007 after a distinguished career that began in 1987. He served as a Combat Signaler in the 82nd Airborne Division, transitioned to a UH-60A/L Blackhawk pilot after Warrant Officer Candidate School, and later commissioned as an Officer in 1995. He joined the Acquisition Corps in 2003. Following his military service, he was the Aviation Program Manager for Yulista Management Services supporting DEVCOM, before starting his government service in 2009.

Throughout his civilian career, he has held key leadership positions within PEO Aviation and PEO Missiles and Space, including Chief of Staff (PEO MS), Deputy Director (S3I DEVCOM), Director of Operations and Strategy ASA(ALT), and Deputy for Acquisition and Systems Management/Futures Integration Director.

Mr. Kuenzli holds a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Science in Acquisition and Contract Management from Florida Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps and is certified in Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Life Cycle Logistics. His awards and decorations include a Superior Civilian Service Award, Meritorious Civilian Service Award, Commander’s Award for Civilian Service (2), the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal (with oak leaf cluster), and the Humanitarian Service Award (with oak leaf cluster).
Mr. Kuenzli and his wife of 38 years, Melissa, are proud parents of two adult children, Megan and Matthew, and are overjoyed to have recently welcomed their first granddaughter Kinsley.
 

Ole-Morten Parelius

Ole-Morten Parelius

Ole-Morten has more than 30 years’ experience in the field of non-proliferation and export control.

His current position is as Director of Licensing in the newly established Norwegian Directorate for Export Control and sanctions - DEKSA. In this role he supervises the licensing team and oversees the full range of export control cases and issues relevant for DEKSA.

Before joining DEKSA 1st January 2025, Ole-Morten held a similar position with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

Ole-Morten came back to the MFA for a second time, 1st January 2021, after 8 years in leading positions in the global maritime industry.

In the period from 2012 to 2020 he was the Head of Export Control in both Kongsberg Maritime and Rolls-Royce Marine.

From 2005 to 2012 Ole-Morten served with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. First as technical expert later as Deputy Director for the Export Control Department in the Ministry. During this time, Ole-Morten was regularly Head of the Norwegian Delegations to both technical and political meetings in the export control regimes such as the Wassenaar Arrangements, MTCR and NSG.

In the period from 1995 to 2006 Ole-Morten held the position as Norway’s National Nuclear Inspector and responsible for Norway’s State System for Nuclear Accountancy and Control (SSAC) hence directly involved in the fulfilment of Norway’s obligations according to the full scope safeguards agreement and the additional protocol with IAEA.

In the period from 1991 to 1995, Ole-Morten held the position as principal engineer for a nuclear laboratory operated by Norway’s National Institute for energy technology. He was also appointed as the secretary for the Nuclear Safety Board and at the same time Security Officer for the nuclear facilities in Norway.

His first job after he received his engineering diploma, was with Norway’s National Defense Research Establishment. Ole-Morten has in addition to an engineering degree, a degree in Security Management.

Robert Brookfield

Robert Brookfield is presently Director General of the Strategic Export Controls Division of Global Affairs Canada, which manages the policy and operational elements of Canada’s strategic export controls regime and administering the export and import permit control process. Previously for two years he was Director General of the Criminal Law Policy Section at the Department of Justice, leading the unit developing policy and providing advisory and other support within the Department of Justice related to criminal law. Before that he was Deputy Assistant Deputy Minister in the Policy Sector of the Canadian Department of Justice for two and a half years. For more than five years he was Director General of the Trade Law Bureau (JLT) of the Government of Canada. He led the CUSMA (formerly NAFTA) legal team and has acted as primary legal counsel or negotiator of elements of many free trade negotiations. He has served as counsel for Canada on several WTO disputes, including US-Country of Origin Labelling and China-Auto Parts. Before joining the government he worked in private practice in a large Vancouver law firm for 5 years. He has a law degree (L.L.B.) from the University of British Columbia (1995) and a Bachelor of Arts and Science (BArtsSc) from McMaster University (1992).

Rosa Rosanelli

Rosa Rosanelli is currently Vice President, Head of Compliance for Patria Group, an international provider of defense, security and aviation life cycle support services, pilot training and technology solutions.

A Lawyer specialized in export controls, Rosa has analyzed and actively contributed to the resolution of legal and compliance issues within several European defense companies, including foreign affiliates of US companies. Author of a Handbook on export controls and a report for the Italian Senate, she has held trainings for EU Commission Officials on ITAR and has participated to training efforts for the benefit of third governments’ officials on strategic trade controls, in cooperation with the Joint Research Center of the European Commission.

Rosa chairs the Export Control Committee of ASD, the European Aerospace and Defense Industry Association, she is author of several legal publications, and a member of the editorial board of the “Strategic Trade Review”, a peer-reviewed specialized review on export controls and sanctions.

She is also Project Lead for the “Trade Compliance Project”, a joint cooperation between Patria and Kongsberg Groups, which was awarded a WECR Award in 2022.

Education:
A Lawyer specialized in export controls, Rosa holds a Master in Law of Air, Space and Telecommunications at Paris XI University and a Master in International Relations (International law) at Rome La Sapienza University.

Stephane Chardon

After university (legal and political studies in Strasbourg, Rome and Paris) and military service, Stéphane Chardon served in the Secretariat for European Affairs of the French Government in Paris. He joined the European Commission in 1996 and held various positions in the Commission's external relations departments. From 1999 to 2006, he served in EU Delegations to Asmara (Eritrea) and Moscow (Russia).
From 2006 to 2012 he was responsible for EU sanctions/restrictive measures and for the Kimberley Process/conflict diamonds in the Commission’s External Relations Directorate-General (DG RELEX). Since 2012, he coordinates dual-use export controls in the Directorate General for Trade (DG TRADE), and currently works in the Unit dealing with "Trade and security" issues. His responsibilities include formulating and advancing EU export control policy, preparing regulations and monitoring their implementation throughout the EU, and representing the EU in relations with multilateral export control regimes and with third countries.

Thomas Donovan

Tom Donovan currently serves as the Senior Director of Global Trade Management at Northrop Grumman Corporation in Falls Church, Virginia. In this capacity, he is responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing a robust global trade compliance and licensing program for the company. He is responsible for the development and implementation of trade compliance policies and procedures, oversees the development and execution of export related training, and ensures implementation of effective assessment and monitoring methods. He is responsible for coordination of policy input on regulatory matters affecting exports; serves as the company Empowered Official responsible for interface with the U.S. government on export matters; and coordinates with company global trade compliance professionals to address export matters abroad.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Tom held the position of Defense Trade Controls Analyst with the U.S. Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls Licensing. Tom is a retired Army Officer, having served as an Air Defense Artillery Officer for over 20 years in various command and staff positions in both Divisional and Theater-level Air Defense units.
Tom serves as the President on the Board of Directors for the Society for International Affairs (SIA), and he is the Chairman for the Department of State’s Defense Trade Advisory Group (DTAG).
Tom is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Criminal Justice, and earned his Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development from Webster University. He is also a 2015 graduate of the Thunderbird University Global Business Executive Program.

    WHAT IS CPD?

    CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development’. It is essentially a philosophy, which maintains that in order to be effective, learning should be organised and structured. The most common definition is:

    ‘A commitment to structured skills and knowledge enhancement for Personal or Professional competence’

    CPD is a common requirement of individual membership with professional bodies and Institutes. Increasingly, employers also expect their staff to undertake regular CPD activities.

    Undertaken over a period of time, CPD ensures that educational qualifications do not become obsolete, and allows for best practice and professional standards to be upheld.

    CPD can be undertaken through a variety of learning activities including instructor led training courses, seminars and conferences, e:learning modules or structured reading.

    CPD AND PROFESSIONAL INSTITUTES

    There are approximately 470 institutes in the UK across all industry sectors, with a collective membership of circa 4 million professionals, and they all expect their members to undertake CPD.

    For some institutes undertaking CPD is mandatory e.g. accountancy and law, and linked to a licence to practice, for others it’s obligatory. By ensuring that their members undertake CPD, the professional bodies seek to ensure that professional standards, legislative awareness and ethical practices are maintained.

    CPD Schemes often run over the period of a year and the institutes generally provide online tools for their members to record and reflect on their CPD activities.

    TYPICAL CPD SCHEMES AND RECORDING OF CPD (CPD points and hours)

    Professional bodies and Institutes CPD schemes are either structured as ‘Input’ or ‘Output’ based.

    ‘Input’ based schemes list a precise number of CPD hours that individuals must achieve within a given time period. These schemes can also use different ‘currencies’ such as points, merits, units or credits, where an individual must accumulate the number required. These currencies are usually based on time i.e. 1 CPD point = 1 hour of learning.

    ‘Output’ based schemes are learner centred. They require individuals to set learning goals that align to professional competencies, or personal development objectives. These schemes also list different ways to achieve the learning goals e.g. training courses, seminars or e:learning, which enables an individual to complete their CPD through their preferred mode of learning.

    The majority of Input and Output based schemes actively encourage individuals to seek appropriate CPD activities independently.

    As a formal provider of CPD certified activities, SAE Media Group can provide an indication of the learning benefit gained and the typical completion. However, it is ultimately the responsibility of the delegate to evaluate their learning, and record it correctly in line with their professional body’s or employers requirements.
